Problem Solving Earns Trust

I always want my clients to be happy and feel proud to be working with me. My favorite days are those when I am able to solve a problem for them.

Our AMC has a “boutique” feel by choice.  We enjoy being hands-on in the day-to-day operations and this often times requires problem solving. This is truly what sets our AMC apart from others. Here is an example of a recent predicament and how we resolved it for the client.

We handled an appraisal for a loan that ended up looking like it would not go through due to difficulties on the lender’s side. A few weeks later the account manager called me at 2:00 pm informing me they wanted to fund this loan by next day, however they’d never ordered the re-inspection, because they didn’t believe they’d be able to fund the loan.

I reached out to the appraiser who wrote the original report.

Being the Best not the Biggest

I recently came across this article “Appraisers left high and dry as AMCs shut down” and felt compelled to blog about this because it is a very important subject that concerns all AMC, appraisers and lenders.

When I started my AMC branch there were a few other AMC’s that started up around the same time, and it seemed that they were growing faster than me. This made me feel that I might be doing something wrong and concerned that my business might never expand.

Two years later those same AMC’s began to close their doors and I realized that I was on the right track. Those branches were using their money to expand their operation instead of paying their appraisers on time and therefore losing quality of service. When reports needed revisions made, their appraisers were reluctant to do them because they hadn’t been paid for the original report. Thus the lenders they were servicing were not able to secure the requested revisions and were unable fund loans.

Why Blog? Why Me? Why Now? WHY NOT!

Blogging is one of the best platforms for sharing information, expertise and ideas and I am really excited to now officially be a Blogger!   I intend to use this new vehicle to express how much I love my job and to share with you my two passions – customer service and being the best appraisal management company in the business.  It will be a great way for you to get to know me and for me to get to know my clients better.

When I decided to start a blog, I knew it would always be positive.  I’ve grown tired of negativity everywhere I look, so when I share my experiences or business tips here you can be assured that I’ll put a positive spin on it, hopefully leaving you informed and uplifted.  I have always approached negative circumstances with constructive and beneficial solutions.

Running a business is always challenging and every day there are new problems that need solving.
